I’ve never made a large purchase on the Internet. How do I know I'll get what I ordered?
If you're at all apprehensive, we suggest you pay by credit card. You're always protected using a major credit card. We have been in the mosaic tile business for over 5 years, and online since 2002. If you can't figure out what you need, we have a full staff of designers that can help guide you through the purchase over the phone.
Will you beat any other quote I receive?
If you should have a price quote lower than ours, from another mosaic tile patterns company, or local retailer, we will beat the price. In order to do so, we would have to confirm the price. If the lower price were from a local retailer, you would need to supply us with the name, location, and telephone number of the retailer. If the lower price were from an Internet mosaic tile company, you would need to supply us with the URL address of the company. This price guaranty applies to product prices but in some cases not shipping costs.
What about shipping costs, do I pay for shipping?
With some products we run free shipping offers, while on others the shipping charge may be extremely minimal. Usually with free shipping there is a minimum quantity to qualify.
Does Firefly Mosaics accept returns if I order too much material?
We accept returns for mosaic tile however, in most cases, our distributors and manufacturers charge a restocking fee which generally ranges from 15% to 25% of the order. In addition, you would be responsible for the original, as well as the return freight. You can avoid this by having a professional installer or measuring company measure the area or asking for our assistance when calculating the quantity that you need. Software cannot be returned; damaged discs are replaced.
What if I don’t order enough mosaic tile patterns and I run short?
As mentioned before, this can be avoided by proper measuring. If you should come up short, we would ship you what you needed and only charge you our cost on the freight.
What if I receive my mosaic tile and it was damaged in transit?
We deal with some of the largest and most well respected freight companies in the United States and Canada. Their claim ratio is less than 1%. Even taking this into consideration, damage sometimes occurs. If there is any damaged material, we will immediately replace it for you and file a claim with the freight carrier. There is no cost to you for replacement material providing the damage was noted at the time of the delivery.
Your prices are extremely low. Is your material first quality?
All of the material we sell is first quality. We do not deal in second quality or defective products.
Why does mosaic tile have a ridged surface?
The side with the ridges is the back of the tile. Our mosaic tile patterns are faced mounted on paper, so the back of the tile is exposed. The face of the tile, which is covered by the paper sheet, is smooth and flat and is the surface that will show when you finish your installation and remove the paper.
Are your tiles suitable for use in kitchens, bathrooms, floors and spas?
Our mosaic tiles are manufactured to meet ANSI ratings for use in both residential and commercial architectural use, for both exterior and interior applications, unless otherwise noted. They are frost and heat resistant, waterproof, color safe and non-porous. We can provide specific ratings if required for each of our tile brands.
How do I install face-mounted glass mosaic tile?
The thin bed method, along with back-buttering, is the preferred method for installing glass mosaic tiles less than 6mm thick. The Ceramic Tile Institute has guidelines for installation, which can be found here at http://www.ctioa.org/reports/fr93.html.
