Color Samples
Differences in monitor settings and quality affect the way colors appear on screen.
We recommend ordering a color sample prior to ordering a full pattern to confirm the tile and color are suitable for your installation project.
Installation
TIP: In order to ease cleanup, particularly when using a tinted or colored grout on light tiles, it is best to treat your unglazed porcelain tiles BEFORE grouting with a good quality tile sealant.
Porcelain tiles require the use of a latex-modified thin set mortar with an ANSI rating of 118.4 or better.
For installation instructions please consult a professional installer, or see our Tile Installation Tips.

A Bigger Take on the Classic Honeycomb
The hexagon is a timeless shape, and going up to a 2-inch hexagon tile gives that honeycomb look a little more presence. The pattern reads bolder, the grout lines are cleaner, and the whole surface feels calm and considered rather than busy. Our Lyric 2" hexagon comes in both satin-glazed and unglazed porcelain finishes, so you can dial in exactly the look and feel your project calls for.
Durable, versatile, and rated for both commercial and residential use.
Satin or Unglazed: Pick Your Finish
The best part of this collection is the choice of surface. Each 2-inch hex tile comes in two distinct finishes:
- Satin glaze in Eggshell and Coal Black, for a soft, low-sheen surface that's easy to wipe clean
- Unglazed porcelain in Charcoal Gray and Ivory, for a natural, matte look with excellent slip resistance
The unglazed option makes a great unglazed hexagon floor tile, while the satin finish is a favorite for walls and backsplashes where a little sheen goes a long way.
Where These Hexagonal Mosaic Tiles Shine
Because they're commercial-rated porcelain, these 2 hexagon tiles hold up wherever you put them:
- Bathroom and shower floors
- Kitchen and entryway floors
- Backsplashes and accent walls
- Mudrooms, laundry rooms, and other hardworking spaces
- Commercial floors and light-traffic retail areas
Back-mounted on mesh sheets, they install in sections rather than piece by piece, which keeps spacing tight and consistent.
The Details That Matter
- Material: Porcelain
- Tile Size: 2" flat side to flat side (2 5/16" point to point)
- Thickness: Satin 6.35mm, Unglazed 7.76mm (the two finishes differ)
- Sheet Size: .92 sq/ft, sold per sheet
- Joint Size: 1.5mm
- Mounting: Back-mounted on mesh
To figure out how much you need, just divide your total square footage by .92. And because screens vary, we always recommend ordering a color sample before your full order to confirm the shade works in your space.
A Quick Installation Tip
Planning to use the unglazed tiles with a tinted or colored grout? Seal them first. Treating your 2 in hex tile with a quality tile sealant before grouting makes cleanup far easier and keeps colored grout from staining the surface. Porcelain also needs a latex-modified thin-set mortar rated ANSI 118.4 or better.
FAQs
What's the difference between satin and unglazed?
Satin has a soft, low-sheen glazed surface. Unglazed is a natural matte porcelain with more grip, which makes it a strong floor choice.
How many sheets do I need?
Divide your project's square footage by .92 to get your sheet count, then add a little extra for cuts and waste.
Can I use these on a shower floor?
Yes. The small format and porcelain build give good grip and drainage slope, especially in the unglazed finish.
