Why porcelain is best and expensive?
Porcelain tiles - meticulously made to withstand the toughest conditions.
The all-weather characteristics of porcelain tiles are truly outstanding. They are ideal materials for walls or flooring in interior or exterior applications. Porcelain tiles have built-in properties that make them highly resistant to heat or cold, water or other weather factors, and abrasive wear. They also are unfazed by chemical attack by acids or alkalis. Extremely sanitary, these tiles can be easily cleaned of contaminants with water. Yes, as a construction material, they have no peer.
Fired at temperature in excess of 1200°C, these porcelain tiles are the result of a complete fusion of body and glaze in the liquid state, so thermal expansion is minimal and they are unfazed by thermal shock. Moisture absorption is virtually nil, so cracks and breakage are minimal.
